MID-MODEL DESIGN CHANGE
AFFECTED PART: R2657P
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Through market feedback and further investigation the Ryco team resolved an issue relating to a mid-model design change affecting the popular Toyota and Cruiser 70 and 200 Series diesel engine fuel filter and released the R2888P in August 2021.
The Ryco R2657P has previously been catalogued as the
correct fuel filter for the 2019 onwards 70 and 200 Series model
LandCruiser. This listing has been updated, with the addition of the
R2888P, as the correct filter for build date April 2019 onwards.
The R2657P remains the correct filter for application
up to and including build date March 2019.
Please note these filters are not interchangeable.
The updated fuel filter housing does not look greatly different,
however the updated filter is 33mm taller and 4mm wider collar
when compared to the R2657P.
The updated filter also incorporates a pre-filter design, providing
enhanced separation of containments and an extra o-ring.
The R2888P was taken through extensive development and testing
within the Ryco laboratory in Melbourne, following the Ryco Design
Philosophy to meet or exceed the OEM specification.
