Based in Altona North, Victoria, our filtration laboratory is NATA accredited and the only one of its kind in Australasia. Its unique testing capabilities allow our engineers to test to SAE and ISO industry standards, ensuring that each filter achieves the outstanding level of quality our customers deserve.

Putting our quality to the test

Testing covers three critical areas of efficiency, life and flow, and uses state-of-the-art equipment such as 3D scanners, 3D prototyping printers, air intake test rigs, and triple loop multi-pass filter test rigs.

Multi-pass testing uses a specified contaminant, of known sizes, added regularly in measured quantities to the fluid, which is pumped continuously through the filter.

Measured samples of fluid are then taken at timed intervals from the upstream and downstream of the filter.

The contaminant in the samples is measured for particle sizes and quantities of each size, or a range of sizes. These are accurately measured using particle counters.

From the upstream and downstream measurements, a Beta ratio is formulated by dividing the number of particles of a particular size in the upstream flow by the number of particles of the same size in the downstream flow.
