Ryco News

The fitting of fuel water separator and crankcase filters has become popular way to increase the protection of modern-day turbo diesel engines.  These engines require additional filtration, whether it’s protecting against contaminated fuel or reducing chemical build up caused by blow-by gases inside the air intake system.  These contaminants can not only have a serious effect on engine power which can cause poor fuel economy but by reducing reliability that leads to expensive repairs.  * Customer testimonial listed at end of release.

Australian designed and manufactured specifically for the punishing conditions this country places on vehicles, these kits are developed individually for each vehicle, making them easy to fit, highly effective and a simple way to create extra protection for engines.

“We know the importance drivers of diesel passenger vehicles place on the reliability of their engines, particularly with 4WD’s and SUV type vehicles.  Fitting either or both a Ryco fuel water separator and crankcase filter has now never been easier with the release of our new Vehicle Specific Fitment Kits,” said Jeff Turner, General Manager of Marketing.

“The key to these new kits is just how easy they are to fit.  Our Engineering Team have worked hard at developing detailed brackets for each specific vehicle’s engine bay as well as PCV hoses that are purpose-moulded for an exact fit, even if the vehicle is equipped with dual batteries.  There’s absolutely no need for drilling as each mounting bracket fits to pre-existing points in each engine bay.”

To further simplify each installation, Ryco have included quick connectors for fuel hoses and illustrated fitting instructions that clearly show each step.  An added benefit is that the RVSK’s are designed to give greater access to the two types of filters mounted on them.

It’s just not the ease of fitment and the individual design of the brackets and hoses that sets the RVSK’s apart.  It’s also the quality of the componentry.  Simply, these kits are built tough as Jeff explains – “We know that a number of owners that fit fuel water separator and crankcase filters will be using their vehicles in harsh conditions.  That’s why we have tested our kits under high temperature, towing and off-road conditions.

“Each mounting bracket is made from 3mm laser-cut steel that’s also powder coated for added toughness.  Additionally, we have added abrasion resistant insulation on all the PCV and fuel hoses, to ensure that they are protected from the elements and piercing.”

RSVK are currently available for 2011-2018 Ford Ranger PX, Everest, Mazda BT 50 fitted with 2.2L & 3.2L diesel engines, Toyota Hilux 2005-2015 KUN 16 & 26 (1KD) and 2007-2018 Toyota Landcruiser VDJ70 Series, (1VD-FTV).  Kits for Mitsubishi 2015-2018 Pajero Sport & Triton and 2015-2018 Toyota Hilux & Fortuner GUN (1GD) will be available soon and available from all good Ryco stockists nationally.
